Review of Dentsply Protaper Universal Gutta Percha Points
Denstply Protaper system is one the most commonly used endodontic system, one you have used even in your college.
Protaper Universal GP points are specially made for Protaper universal files, providing a snug fit and peace of mind.
It is not the cheapest GP points in the market, but it’s advantage becomes obvious once you consider the taper of Protaper files.

As you see, the taper differs for each finishing file, and is unique to protaper systems. So a gutta percha of taper .04 or .06 would not seal the canal adequately and you will definitely have to use accessory GP points.
When using Protaper Universal GP, you may require accessory GP points at times but mostly a ‘single cone’ obturation will be enough.
If you are using Protaper Universal File system, it is highly recommended to use Protaper Universal Gutta Percha to obturate.
