- Speed can be adjusted between 120 – 800 rpm.
- Torque can be adjusted between 0.6 – 5.2 N-cm using a 16:1 handpiece.
- Gear ratio can be 1:1, 4:1, 10:1, 16:1, 20:1 depending on the handpiece in use.
- You can change the contra-angled head position for your ease of use.
- Auto reverse mode can be activated. If the file binds in the canal, the rotation of file stops & reverses to prevent binding and fracture of instrument in the canal.
- Always try and keep the battery above 30% (single bar). If battery falls below 30%, the ‘auto reverse’ feature may not activate.

I have been using X-Smart for the past 10 years. With use over the years, the battery charge has deteriorated but it has never caused me other problems.
Most of the clinics at least initially have a single endomotor. As X-Smart gives you a reliable performance, one should get it just for the peace of mind. The handpiece is wired to a tabletop control and display unit, hence it is bulky when compared to other wireless endomotors available today but it’s performance and reliability should be enough of a reason to purchase this as your primary unit. You might hear stray incidents of battery problem but it’s performance can hardly be questioned.
